Summary: Slowpulse does not collect your data, because Slowpulse cannot send it anywhere. The app contains no networking code. It has no account system, no server, and no analytics or advertising SDKs. Every reading it takes is scored and stored on your device and stays there.
Who we are
Slowpulse ("the app") is published by the developer of record listed on its App Store product page. For any privacy question, write to [email protected].
Health data we read
With your explicit permission, Slowpulse reads the following from Apple Health (HealthKit) on your device:
| Data | Why it is read |
|---|---|
| Heart rate | Current reading, compared against your baseline |
| Resting heart rate | Establishes your personal baseline |
| Heart rate variability (SDNN) | The main stress signal, compared against your baseline |
| Blood oxygen | Shown alongside your other current metrics |
| Active energy burned | Discounts the score so exercise does not read as stress |
| Exercise minutes | Discounts the score so exercise does not read as stress |
| Stand hours | Shown as daily activity context |
Permission is requested through Apple's own Health dialog and can be changed or withdrawn at any time in the Health app, under Sharing → Apps. Slowpulse does not write anything back to Apple Health.
Where it goes
Nowhere. Readings are processed on your iPhone and Apple Watch and stored in a local database on the device. The app performs no network requests, so there is no transfer of your health data to us or to any third party — no cloud sync, no backup to our systems, no sharing, and no sale of data under any circumstances.
You can confirm this yourself: enable Airplane Mode and the app continues to function normally.
Purchases
Premium is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see or receive your name, card details, or billing address. We receive only aggregate, anonymised sales reporting from App Store Connect, which cannot be linked to an individual user or to any health data.
Notifications
If you enable stress alerts, notifications are scheduled locally on your device by the app itself. No push server is involved and no notification content is transmitted off the device.
Diagnostics
Slowpulse includes no crash-reporting or analytics SDK. If you have opted in to Apple's "Share iPhone Analytics", Apple may share crash statistics with us through App Store Connect. That is governed by Apple's privacy policy and contains no health data.
Children
Slowpulse is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from them. Since the app collects nothing from anyone, no such data can exist.
Your rights
Data protection law (including the GDPR and the CCPA) gives you rights to access, correct, export and erase personal data held about you. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to produce or delete on request. You retain full control of the data on your own device:
- Access and export — your readings live in Apple Health; use the Health app's own export.
- Withdraw permission — Health app → Sharing → Apps → Slowpulse.
- Erase — deleting Slowpulse removes its local database and everything in it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a new date, and the change will be described in the app's release notes. Should a future version of the app ever transmit data, that would require your explicit, separate consent first.
